Maria Abid was born in Aberystwyth, Wales in the year 2007. When she was only seven months old she moved to a village in Gower (UK’s first area of outstanding natural beauty), in City & County of Swansea.

Maria is the eldest of four siblings. She goes to a local school in her village and has developed a keen interest in writing stories and poems for kids. Maria’s first published poem; Roald Dahl and BFG in the book Phizz-Whizzing Words- Wonderiferous Wordsmiths. Maria likes swimming, hockey and cricket in sports and she hopes this book will open her journey towards making a successful writer.
